The collection of Armenian folk tales translated by Irina Petrovna Tokmakova included magical and household stories. The plot motifs of many of them are familiar to us from childhood: an invisible worker collects on the table and correctly serves his owner, the summary sisters fall to the mysterious sorcerers, and the brave jigit achieves the hands of the beauty. The fraud here always turns around, and stupidity is punished, so that the person finds wisdom: the lazy princess becomes working thanks to the resourceful husband-peasant, and the lords of fish and animals help the good soul to the youths to achieve the desired goal. The book was illustrated by Grigor Sepukhovich Khanjyan, a famous Armenian painter and a book illustrator
