The novel "Affibi Man", written in 1927, still remains popular with readers. The author chose a distant Argentina - and an exciting plot unfolding against this exotic background, does not allow to relax for a minute.
Once a brilliant scientist Dr. Salvator saved the life of a little boy, transplanting him the gills of a young shark, and then left the child at home and began to educate him. So Ichthyander was born - an amphibian man. He is distinguished from ordinary people by an extraordinary ability to be under water for a long time. The young man spends most of the time at sea, surrounded by fish, dolphins and other underwater inhabitants. But everything changes when the one appears next to him, for the sake of which he is ready to change his fate. Now Ichthyander should choose: to live further by the usual free life in the endless ocean or try to become their own in the harsh world of people.
The book is illustrated by Oleg Pakhomov.
