Young Mikhai Nilash lives away from the family and studies at the famous Hungarian degreign gymnasium. A painfully scrupulous, fragile boy suffers very much from loneliness and desperately misses his father and mother. Next to him there is not a single close person who could give good advice, console and hug. Due to someone else"s meanness and an unsuccessful combination of circumstances, Mikhai falls into an unpleasant, ambiguous position. He will have to defend his honor and carry on his shoulders a burden, excessive for the child. This penetrating story belongs to the pen of Zhigmond Moritsa (1879–1942) - one of the most popular writers in Hungary.
