Poems and drawings of the wonderful St. Petersburg artist Vadim Ivanovich Gusev (1931-2008), known to many as "Uncle Gusev", were first collected under the same cover. This is a “mosquito and elephant”, "for which a body car", "about an apple", "lullaby" and others. They are unexpected and contagious, full of children"s innocence and smart game.
The kids and their parents have long noticed and fell in love with the illustrations of V. Gusev in the books of other authors: "Mother language, friends with me" A. Shibaeva, "eccentrics" O. Grigoryeva," that neither the page is an elephant, then a lioness "V. Mayakovsky," Kaldarak "Kenin-Lapsan. Bright, talented, stylish, they have become a classic of a Russian children"s book.
The publication was prepared for the 90th anniversary of the artist.
