The nurseries and kindergartens of Reggio Emilia represent a model of 'space for relationships' and have received international recognition for their unique approach. Developing and promoting an educational experience rooted in the work of Loris Malaguzzi, the 'Reggio Children' group, in collaboration with the Domus Academy, initiated research on designing spaces for children of early and preschool age. The goal of the research is to combine the avant-garde pedagogical approach of Reggio Emilia to preschool education with new experiences in the field of design and architecture. In the educational philosophy of Reggio Emilia, the material-spatial environment of nurseries and kindergartens holds a special place. This approach motivates architects, designers, and educators to reflect on the quality of the environment surrounding children and sets the starting point for developing spaces for young children. This publication will be of interest to preschool educators, methodologists, employees of early childhood education institutions, as well as parents interested in the comprehensive development of their children.
