Children of the mountains

The book "Children of the Mountains" tells the story of the childhood and youth of the generation of the 1970s of the past century. This generation of peers of the space era built the Baikal-Amur Mainline (BAM), launched the "Energia" and "Buran" spacecraft, worked in student construction brigades and on the challenging Komsomol construction sites across the vast expanses of our beautiful vast country. And then, in the early 1990s, it ineptly and silently allowed the destruction of the Great State of Equals, unparalleled in world history, built with the blood of several generations of our people who defended the freedom and independence of this State in the most brutal war against world fascism... Recalling the stages of maturation of this contradictory generation, the author tells and reflects on the historical path of our People and our State - our beautiful Russia. The author reflects on the history and fate of the Donbass, where he grew up, then invites the Reader to Leningrad, to the ancient Pskov region, to Michurinsk on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast, to Cherkasy on the banks of the gray Dnieper, Siberia...
