The author of the author of these memoirs, Aron Israelich Gaister, at the time of his arrest in 1937 he held the post of Deputy Commissar of Agriculture of the USSR. As it was found in Stalin"s times, all members of his family were declared "relatives of the enemy of the people", and for them began walking on prison and camp torments.
