Fritz Peters (1913-1979) first met with the Grand Russian philosopher George Ivanovich Gurdjieff in 1924, at the age of eleven years. So the journey began to enrich and completely transform his life.
The first book of this volume, Childhood with Gurdzhiev, describes the period from 1924 to 1928 - the times of the greatest heyday and activity of the Human Harmonic Development Institute in Prior. The superbly told stories wonderfully demonstrate the non-standard approach of Gurdjieff to the decision of both everyday and eternal questions.
The second book, Remembering Gurdjieva, refers to later meetings of the author with Gurdjieff in the period from 1932 to 1947. Perhaps, this is one of the cleaner and at the same time paradoxical descriptions of the archetypal interaction teacher-student.
Fritz Peters opens true, human features of Gurdjieff and represents us one of the most mysterious and conflicting personalities of the twentieth century. As especially noted in the preface of Henry Miller, the book language can be attributed to the true treasures of our literature.
The book of Fritz Peters continues the series Gurdjieff. The fourth way (after the student"s diary Ch.S. Notta and Women"s Collection ) in the publishing group Tradition
