"Cherry on the Cake. Farewell to an Era" is Igor Maslennikov's latest creative work, on which he worked until his last days. It is a diary of a bygone era, reflections of the famous film director on the events of the last 15 years: from global events (from the 2008 crisis to the coronavirus pandemic), changes in the film industry, politics, culture, and the personal successes and tragedies of the author. The publication is illustrated with drawings by Igor Maslennikov, featuring his friends and colleagues (Marlen Khutsiev, Lyubov Arkus, Vitaly Solomin, and many others), as well as caricatures of world leaders, major international events, and simple life situations over the past decade.
