For EFL (Education for Foreign Learners). The content of the textbook fully corresponds to the chemistry program for foreign students preparing to enter higher educational institutions of a technical profile. It includes the basic principles of modern theories of the structure of atoms and molecules, chemical bonds, the periodic law, the main regularities of chemical processes, the theory of solutions, properties, and specific features of the most important metals, as well as methods of their obtaining. The first chapters of the manual are strictly adapted to the Russian language, which corresponds to the initial stage of language preparation of foreign students, gradually the degree of adaptation decreases. Each section ends with control questions. At the end of the textbook, there is a brief directory, which provides definitions of basic concepts and formulations of the laws of chemistry in Russian with translations into English and Chinese. For those preparing to enter universities of a technical profile, including students for whom Russian is a foreign language.
