Reinaldo Ustariz-Arce, a Bolivian doctor and journalist, dedicated his book to the legendary figure - the heroic revolutionary Ernesto Che Guevara. The author conducted a comprehensive investigation over many years, based on which he presented the true story of the life and death of this remarkable man. He met with people who were somehow involved in the activities of the revolutionary. He studied a wealth of documentary materials: diaries, letters, radiograms, reports, military orders, and memories of people who personally knew Che Guevara. Ustariz-Arce was the person who proved that the legendary Che did not die in battle, but was captured and cold-bloodedly executed by Bolivian army soldiers. The author supplemented his work with priceless and harsh photographic materials.
