The book is devoted to the history of the creation and development of air defense of Russia. It reflects the main stages of the construction of a domestic system of state protection in air (air-space) space. The material is based on new archival sources and earlier declassified documents, which make it possible to objectively assess the process of turning the air (anti-informous) defense of the country into air-cosmic.
Special attention was paid to the heroism and courage of air defense warriors shown in the battlefields of the First World and Great Patriotic Wars, numerous armed conflicts outside the USSR (Russia).
For the first time, the full biographical data of the guideline of the military air defense system, including air defense managers, in the structure of other types and genera of the armed forces are presented.
