Short cartoon Cunio Kato "House of Little Cubes", the script for which Kenya Hirat wrote, received the Crystal Prize (main prize) and the prize of the children"s jury at the international festival of animated films in Annesi, which is considered the most prestigious among international festivals animations. Overnight, the film became famous all over the world. In the same year, the work received the Hiroshima Award and the audience award at the International Animation Festival in Hiroshima, as well as the Grand Prix in the nomination "Culti-fuel film" at the Medical Arts Festival of the Japanese Culture Agency. In 2009, Kunio Kato was awarded the Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences in the nomination "Best Short Short Animation Film".
The authors specifically created a revised version of the cartoon, so that not only spectators, but also readers could evaluate a poetic story and amazing, subtle illustrations.
