The monograph is devoted to the most urgent problems of Russian criminal procedure law - the problem of the ratio of private and public legal interests in criminal proceedings and the activities of the court to ensure their balance in pre -trial criminal proceedings. The authors analyze the legal nature of private and public legal interests in criminal proceedings, their ratio with the appointment of a criminal process, offer their own classification of legal interests in the criminal process, explore the court"s place in the system of ensuring private and public legal interests in pre -trial proceedings in criminal cases, its procedural activity In this area. Considerable attention in the work is given to the issues of ensuring private and public interests when the court applied measures of criminal procedure coercion, when the court considers complaints in accordance with Art. 125 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Russian Federation, as well as when giving the court a permit to carry out procedural actions that limit the constitutional rights and freedoms of citizens.
