The book is dedicated to the “Ukrainian crisis” of 2014-2015 and its main event - the withdrawal of Crimea from Ukraine and its reunification with Russia. This event is evaluated from the point of view of the Constitution of Ukraine, the norms and principles of international legal acts, the international practice of resolving such situations.
The reunification of Crimea with Russia is also considered in the book as an event that revealed the true state of modern international law and international law and order, affected to one degree or another a number of fundamental principles and doctrines of international law: the principle of sovereign equality of states, territorial integrity, territorial integrity, The right of the people to self -determination, the principle of non -use of power or threat of force in international relations, the principle of non -interference in the internal affairs of the states, etc.
The book shows that in the context of geopolitical conflicts between states, the principles and norms of international law acquire new meanings, as a result of which the previous established interpretations lose their significance.
The book also discusses the geopolitical foundations of the modern “Ukrainian crisis” and the new trends in the development of international law enforcement that showed in it.
