In the collective monograph, information law is considered, on the one hand, as a special branch of law and part of legal information, on the other hand, it is a type of information and part of the state’s information resource and its legal system. The role of terms in streamlining sources of law, taking into account the significance of information security problems, has been considered. The need to distinguish legal terms from the general terms characterizing the subject area of law is noted. The author’s definitions of the concept, definition, and conceptual apparatus are given. Separately, there should be messages devoted to comparing the conceptual apparatus of information and other branches of law.
