In this publication, a set of issues devoted to the history of legal regulation of relations for the recovery of alimony is dismantled, the problems of the formation of socio-economic prerequisites for the insolvency of legal regulation of alimony relations in modern Russia are considered and the methodology for studying the legal relationship of alimony as part of family content relations is proposed.
