The key theme of this work is the issue of consciousness, which is presented in two aspects: as a general philosophical question and as existing theoretical material that allows us to talk about historical and philosophical parallels. The subject of the comparative study is two fundamental theories representing the philosophical heritage of Eastern and Western thinkers, the conceptual analysis of which is based on the analytical psychology of C.G. Jung and the Buddhist philosophy of consciousness (schools of Sarvastivada, Sautrantika, and Vijñanavada). The main unifying factor here is also the phenomenon of consciousness, the study of the structure and functions of the human psyche. In addition, the book examines previously unexplored facts of C.G. Jung's creative legacy.
