Before you is the translation of the 14th, anniversary edition of the fundamental guide 'Hurst's Cardiology', timed to the 50th anniversary of its history. This book is a bestseller, the most comprehensive, reliable, and advanced resource for several generations of doctors worldwide, and now it has been translated into Russian for the first time.
The guide covers a vast range of issues from the history of cardiology development, the basics of organizing care for cardiological pathology, fundamental and applied aspects of patient examination and treatment, to the most relevant medico-social problems. It will be useful not only to cardiologists but also to a wide range of medical specialists involved in the treatment, prevention, and rehabilitation of patients with a cardiological profile.
Each volume of the publication is produced in collaboration and under the scientific editorship of specialists from leading profile medical organizations of the Russian Federation. The adaptation of the second volume was carried out by the staff of the FSBI 'National Medical Research Center named after V.A. Almazov' under the general editorship of Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences E.V. Shlyakhto. Moreover, the text has been revised for use in the Russian Federation and supplemented with comments based on clinical recommendations and other regulatory documents adopted in our country.
The book contains over 1500 illustrations (most of them in color), hundreds of tables, charts, and diagrams, as well as links and QR codes that lead to additional sources of information and bibliography.
'Hurst's Cardiology' is a modern, reliable, and authoritative source of knowledge not only for cardiologists but also for a wide range of medical specialists involved in the treatment, prevention, and rehabilitation of patients with a cardiological profile, and the publication will also be of interest to medical university students, residents, and postgraduate students.
