Before you is the translation of the 14th, anniversary edition of the fundamental guide "Hurst's The Heart", timed to coincide with the 50th anniversary of its history. This book is a bestseller, the most comprehensive, reliable, and advanced resource for several generations of doctors around the world, and now it has been translated into Russian for the first time.
The guide covers a vast range of issues from the history of cardiology development, the basics of organizing care for cardiac pathology, fundamental and applied aspects of patient examination and treatment, to the most relevant medico-social problems. It will be useful not only to cardiologists but also to a wide range of medical specialists involved in the treatment, prevention, and rehabilitation of patients with a cardiological profile.
Each volume of the publication is produced in collaboration and under the scientific editorship of specialists from leading profile medical organizations of the Russian Federation. The adaptation of the first volume was carried out by the staff of the Cardiology Research Institute of Tomsk NRMC under the general editorship of the Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor S.V. Popov. In addition, the text has been revised for use in the Russian Federation and supplemented with comments based on clinical recommendations and other regulatory documents adopted in our country.
