The second edition of the collection of free translations and imitations of Islamic mysticism poetry "Caravan of Eternity," belonging to the pen of Yuri Kluchnikov, a Soviet and Russian poet, essayist, traveler, translator, author of 28 books of poetry, translations, prose, and journalism. The book includes an introductory article by Y. M. Kluchnikov, more than 620 poems of the most vivid exponents of Islamic mysticism ideas, who created from the 8th to the 21st centuries across the vast expanses of the Muslim world - from Egypt to India. Their biographies are presented, the author's poetic adaptation of their treatises and aphorisms, as well as poems-imitations and dedications to Sufi poets from the translator. In addition, the publication includes the biography of Yuri Kluchnikov, reviews of his work by famous cultural figures, and two articles by his son and publisher Sergey Kluchnikov: "Sufism and Russia. Three concentric circles of Sufism" and "The Sunlight of Sufi Poetry." Unlike the first edition, this book contains a large new section - "Sufi Poetry of the Peoples of Russia," where for the first time the poetic traditions of Islamic mysticism in the creativity of our compatriots and their ancestors, who lived on the territory of the current Russian Federation, are reflected. In addition to this, the second edition includes a number of new translations of world Sufism poetry into Russian. Among the poets whose poems are present in the book, there are "strict" Sufis, belonging to specific Sufi orders, and those who, inspired by the ideas of Sufism, tried to write poems in the spirit of Sufi poetry. Y. M. Kluchnikov offers an original interpretation of the Sufis' creativity, asserting that they all belong to the mystical Order of Sufi Poetry with their independent path to God. The themes revealed in the book: life and death, love for a woman as a step of love for God, the search for God within oneself, friendship and enmity, the beauty of the world, the relationship between the poet and authority, as well as the unique Eastern humor make the collection interesting for a wide range of readers who cherish love for the wisdom and poetry of the East. Compilers: Y.M. Kluchnikov, S.Y. Kluchnikov. 2nd edition, expanded and supplemented.
