Stanislav Lvovsky (b. 1972) is an author who had a great influence on the development of Russian poetry of the 1990s. His work can be called a “letter through an injury”. The theme of his poems paradoxically connects the signs of the modern cosmopolitan world and the memory of the tragic history of Russia in the 20th century: virtual reality is rethought to him as a reminder of someone else"s pain and someone else"s hope that can be found next to each of us. Lviv’s versification combines the features of the latest English and German -speaking poetry, the reflection of Russian modernism and the unofficial literature inherited - and deeply personal emotionality: his verse sounds like living, nervous, combining many topics and intonations of colloquial speech.
