The sixth grader Kostya, his younger sister and their parents are an ordinary Petersburg family. However, by the will of chance they find themselves in a village house, which was inherited by the head of the family from his cousin. In the attic of the house, Kostya finds the diary of the mistress of the house, which she led when she was sixteen years old. The diary ends with an encrypted message. When Kostya manages to solve it, the Timoshin family enters the seven -color castle, where, under the guidance of the poet, that is, an “assistant on etiquette”, the course of training of the rules of conduct in all life situations undergoes. Having received all the necessary “vaccinations” of politeness, they are honored with the mistress of the seven -color castle, Queen Arkansel.
