The Orthodox calendar for 2022 contains church holidays for each month and day of the year, and also contains the Akathist"s application of the holy blessed Matron of Moscow. The Kazan icon of the Mother of God in Russia is especially revered, since through it God"s Mother more than once revealed its intercession for Russian land during difficult periods of tests for her. The icon received the name at the place of phenomenon - in the capital of the Kazan Khanate, joined by Tsar John IV in 1552. A year after the capture of Kazan, the Kazan diocese was founded and its first bishop, the saint of the Gospel, began its first bishop.
