The works presented for publications cover a wide chronological and thematic spectrum of plots. The volume opens with an article in which an important and interesting problem of eastern influence on the formation of the appearance of the East Roman (Byzantine) statehood is posed. Undoubted interest should be caused by the work of Astrology and Politics in Byzantium of the 5th century ", in which the development of such a kind of industry of medieval scientific knowledge, such as astrology, is revealed on the example of one of the episodes of late Roman political history. A feature of Tom can be considered the desire of the authors to disclose the plots of the political history of the Middle Ages through the prism of biographies of political figures. The book presents a significant block of articles on Byzantine architecture. All these works are conceptual in nature, summing up many years of observation of the authors and inviting other researchers to discussion.
