The book was compiled from Sunday sermons of abbot Maxim (Ryzhov), rector of the temple of the Life -Giving Trinity in Konkovo. It refers to the miracles of the healing of human weaknesses and the transformation of human souls committed by the Savior during his earthly life. Residents of the modern metropolis come to the temple with their many issues, bewilders, sorrows, diseases, life dead ends, and hopeless circumstances. Turning to every human soul, the shepherd shows the ascetic path, to which the Lord of Christians calls all eras and peoples. This is the path of healing from sinful diseases of the soul, the path of cleansing the heart from passions, the path of following Christ, the path of embodiment in his life of sacrificial love
