The book is dedicated to the history of the Moscow House of Book on New Arbat, which has been a place of pilgrimage for book lovers for more than half a century. In his literary cafe, creative meetings with writers are often held. Boris Akunin, Eduard Limonov, Yuri Polyakov, Dmitry Bykov, Victor Erofeev, Zakhar Prilepin, Sergey Lukyanenko, Alexey Ivanov, Bernard Verber - this is far from a complete list of domestic and foreign authors who held presentations of their new works there.
A journey through the halls of the Moscow House of Books was undertaken to acquaint not only literary novelties, but also with the writers themselves, many of whom are idols of the reading public today. Relations to them can have a variety of readers. Many may disagree with the subjective opinion of the author of real notes about the heroes of modern literature. But any conversation about them is always an occasion to think about real life and what the author wanted to say to the reader through the lips of his heroes
