The textbook is devoted to an important section of system analysis in the economy - modeling investment processes. Investment activity has a number of significant features that require the use of economic and mathematical models and methods that differ from models and methods for the economic activity of already functioning objects. In particular, investments involve a sufficiently large lag between the initial costs and the final results, which requires to certainly take into account the time factor in models.
Secondly, partners with non-consuming, although with non-opposite interests, participate in investment processes. Such a combination of interests complicates the system of the investment process itself and the relationship of its participants. Thirdly, investment processes are prone to a high degree of uncertainty and risk, which must be taken into account in modeling.
