Anatoly Alexandrovich Bakhtiarov (1851-1916)-Russian writer, journalist, local historian, author of numerous essays, articles, guidebooks in St. Petersburg and Moscow, their historical regions and sights. He studied at the teacher’s seminary in Moscow, then, in 1874, moves to St. Petersburg, where he teaches Russian in the St. Petersburg military-feldsher school. In 1901, he resigned and lives literary work. In the mid-1880s, he began work on a series of essays about the "Petersburg types", which are published in the newspaper, St. Petersburg News. Later, the essays were combined into the cycle of "belly of St. Petersburg" and were released by a separate publication (reprinted by our publishing house) In 1888, he published a number of essays" belly of Moscow "in newspapers" Day and" News of the Day ".
