The theoretical foundations of real estate cadastre are described, a description of the land fund of the Russian Federation as an object of cadastre. The activities on the formation of cadastral accounting facilities, as well as the organizational foundations of the activities of cadastral engineers, were considered. Particular attention is paid to the issues of state registration of rights to real estate, formalization of encumbrances and restrictions, evaluation and organization of market turnover of land and real estate. A retrospective analysis is given and the experience of conducting a cadastre abroad is widely covered. The foundations of land monitoring are set out.
