Re -making work

This book considers the history of labor and how its significance in society has changed over time.
Having taken as the basis a number of international surveys and interviews conducted in Europe, the authors demonstrate how labor is perceived by Europeans today.
The authors use the generational perspective to explore whether it is possible to reconcile modern ethos of work, especially when it comes to women and youth, with the goals of employers - an increase in profit and increasing productivity.
