The work proposes a new principle of building a monetary system (DS), which allows you to get rid of the need to conduct denominations once and for all in the usual sense of the word. DS, built according to this principle, is called Octave in the work.
The transition from a conventional DS to octave is carried out without monetary reform, quite simple, painlessly and almost inextricably. In a situation where the denomination becomes necessary (or at least desirable), instead of the denomination carried out with a conventional DS, with an octave DS, a simple evolutionary transition to a new state of this DS is made, which allows you to achieve all the goals of denomination, but does not get it. To inconvenience, significant costs and other problems inherent in ordinary denomination.
In addition, a number of recommendations are considered in the work related to the release and circulation of banknotes, which can be useful not only with octave, but also with ordinary DS
