The textbook gives a consistent and logically harmonious presentation of the macroeconomic course in accordance with the new generation program. Along with the main provisions of macroeconomic theory, it contains a presentation of fundamental conceptual approaches to the study of macroeconomic problems. A comparative analysis of these approaches will be given taking into account modern achievements of economic theory and practice. The structure of the textbook is developed taking into account the latest changes in the system of higher professional education of the Russian Federation that occurred in the process of its reform and transition to a two -level standard. Its content meets the requirements of state educational standards in the specialty Economics in force in the preparation of bachelors and masters. The textbook was written by the author’s team of teachers of the Department of General Economic Theory of St. Petersburg State Economic University and is intended for students who qualify the bachelor and master, as well as for graduate students and teachers of economic universities, scientific and practical workers specializing in the field of state macroeconomic policy and business.
