The new edition of the training manual discusses the main segments of the financial market: currency, credit, securities market, gold market and insurance market. In addition to the named segments, the payment services market is especially considered, which is also an integral part of the financial market and is rapidly changing under the influence of digitalization processes. For each segment, its definition has been given, specific functions that this segment performs in a market economy are described, the main participants used by them, tools and financial technologies, as well as the system for regulating the activities of participants and their operations within the framework of this segment are considered. Separate sections provide a description of the place and functions of the Bank of Russia as a megagaregulator of the financial market, consideration of the problems of integrating the Russian financial market in the global economy and systematizing methods and approaches to the analysis of the financial market.
The manual was prepared taking into account the latest changes both in the economic life of the country and in the educational field. The materials are updated and supplemented in accordance with new legislative and regulatory acts, as well as in compliance with international and domestic practice of the functioning of financial markets and financial intermediaries.
In the final part, a workshop composed of cases and practical situations is proposed, which will allow students to check and consolidate the knowledge gained.
