In the course of lectures “Economics of the People"s Republic of China” for the first time attempted to comprehend and combine analysis of the problems of the country"s economic development for 1949-2008. The first part of the course discusses different stages of economic construction, achievements and shortcomings that accompanied the implementation of the strategy and tactics of individual periods. Economic changes in 2002-2008 are especially versed in detail, the successes and negative consequences of the export orientation of the economy. Much attention is paid to the process of gradual changes in the development strategy, which provides for the production of internal areas in the Center for Economic Development, especially agriculture, villages, and an increase in the standard of living of the peasantry.
