Unlike the natural sciences, which reject theories, the falsity of which is proved using strict experiments, the object of economic science can be examined using various abstractions, not one of which can finally displace the rest. It follows that the rejected theories in the economy do not mean refuted. The book provides a number of examples of rejected or forgotten economic theories, the interest in which has been revived in new times, and which still represent a decent object of research. This monograph was prepared by an international author’s team based on materials from the 1st October International Scientific Conference on the problems of theoretical economy “Economic Science: Forgotten and rejected theories”
