The purpose of this monographic study is on the example of international experience, as well as foreign literary sources and leveled domestic practice, to develop a personal position regarding digital technologies used in the financial sector, including cryptocurrencies. Evaluate the risks of digital units of value and their positive features in order to conclude in conclusion, answering the main question: are the digital technologies used in the financial sector (for the example of cryptocurrencies), inevitability or conscious choice of the Russian Federation.
