The solution to the urgent scientific problem is presented with an important national economic value: the development and rationale on the basis of the development of existing theoretical foundations of banking regulation and supervision of the theoretical and methodological foundations of the concept of a risk -bent differentiated banking regulation. The solution of this scientific problem was carried out taking into account the criterion for the differentiation of banks reflecting the level of risks of a credit institution. The authors proposed recommendations for improving the tools of banking regulation.
