The use of a psychoanalytic perspective when working with organizations is a relatively new direction in business consulting. This direction is an interdisciplinary field of knowledge that connects psychoanalysis, the psychology of groups and organizations and the theory of systems. Psychoanalysis studies the hidden and replaced aspects of the system, individual or collective, and how unconscious dynamics helps or prevents effective activity and achievement of goals. The book discusses the theory and practice of using psychodynamic models in organizations, and practical recommendations for working with group dynamics are given.
