Covered Bonds is mortgage securities issued by credit organizations, and one of the largest segments of the European capital market. The legislative framework for Covered Bonds exists in 34 European countries. In Russia, this tool is provided as one of the options for mortgage securities, settled by Federal Law of November 11, 2003 No. 152-ФЗ "On Mortgage Securities".
The legal environment underlying Covered Bonds in Europe is a colorful landscape with a large number of common features for most countries and in a wide variety in almost all details. At the same time, works that would investigate the law on Covered Bonds are surprisingly enough.
This book is one of the first publications in Russian regarding the structure and legislation on Covered Bonds in a number of European jurisdictions, including Russia, and analyzing the characteristics of various Covered Bonds systems. In addition, the work expresses a number of thoughts about which direction should further develop Russian law on Covered Bonds, given the common features typical of various European jurisdictions.
The book is designed for lawyers, economists and other specialists involved in mortgage financing, students, graduate students and teachers of legal and economic universities and faculties, as well as all interested in mortgages.
Legislative acts are shown as of March 31, 2019
