Arkady Petrovich Gaidar (1904-1941) (real surname - Golikov) was born on January 22, 1904 in the city of Kursk province. Children spent in Arzamas. He was ten years old when his father went to the front, teacher P. I. Golikov. And in 1918, Arkady himself went to the Red Army. In 1919, he studied on courses of team preparation in Moscow. He was an assistant commander of the platoon. At the age of 17, he commanded the spare rifle regiment. In 1923, after contusion, Arkady fell ill and soon was fired to the reserve. In the 20s, Antonov"s rebel army in the Tambov province and anti-Soviet speeches in Khakassia, was distinguished by special diligence and was accused of the head of a special department in the commercial executions.
During the Great Patriotic War, Gaidar was a correspondent of the newspaper "Komsomolskaya Pravda".
