Bullet injuries to the eye and orbit in peacetime

The leadership covered in detail a change in the structure of bullet injuries of the eyeball and orbit that has occurred since the 90s of the XX century. The results of the systematization of various types of bullets are set out depending on the physico-chemical properties, the factors of the interconnection of the outcome of the treatment of bullet wounds of the eye and the orbit of peacetime from the type of weapon, the physical and chemical properties of bullets are revealed. Clinical signs, ophthalmodiagnostics, an algorithm for the actions of the surgeon in the treatment of the consequences of a bullet wound of the organ of vision are described.
A separate chapter describes a new magnetic device for removing a bullet from the eyeball and orbit, which provides a decrease in trauma compared to traditional magnets.
The modernization of the concept of absolute and relative indications and contraindications to the removal of various bullets from the eyeball and orbit with fresh wounds is presented.
