Continuation of the adventures of Misha Polyakova and his friends Genets and Slavs. The action of the story occurs during the years of the formation of Soviet power. The boys go to the summer pioneer camp, arranged in the old manor of the Karagayev landowners, which have long been abandoned by the former owners. According to the legend, somewhere in the vicinity of the estate, Count Karagayev hid a large diamond, followed by the whole village. Former Count Forester Kuzmin, who knew the place where the treasure is shot.
The secret of the county inheritance stores the desorday manor Sophia Pavlovna, who holds a large bronze bird in the mezzanine. Curious pioneers detect a cache with a map where the path to the cland is marked. But is the map right? The guys light up the idea to find a place where treasures are hidden, and reveal the murder of the forester. Then the investigation, which is raised by the boys, acquires the features of the thriller.
