Russian officers of the XIX - early XX century. There was a tradition to publish the history of his regiment. The total number of shelf stories exceeds two hundred. They traced in detail the combat path of the Guards and Army parts. Usually attached lists of regiment officers and other documents. When writing regimental stories, regferred archives and memories of officers were widely involved. Since most of these materials is lost, this complex of publications is the most valuable source for the history of the Russian army. In addition, this is a wonderful monument of Russian culture of its time. It demonstrates a high level of education of the best representatives of the Russian officer corps, which allowed them to express complex material at a good scientific level.
Most of these books are now difficult to access. The complete set cannot be found a Niv of the same library. Publishing Nestor-Story has set the task of making a set of regimental stories in the property of specialists and all interested in the history of the Russian army.
