Braking and capturing devices for belt conveyors

The book provides requirements for brake and capturing devices, their classification. New promising designs of brake and catching devices are described, improving the efficiency and reliability of the belt conveyors for various operating conditions. Theoretical foundations and methods for calculating and selecting the main parameters of these devices are developed. For the first time, methods of inhibition of powerful belt conveyors with recovery of stored kinetic energy, as well as new perspective designs of brake and capturing devices are described. Examples of calculations and selecting parameters of all types of brake and capturing devices based on the developed methods.
