"Black the shadows" is the name of one of the essays of Joseph Brodsky, it conveys well the mood of this book written by his daughters Anna Maria and Anastasia. One lives in the Irish village, the other in St. Petersburg. One writes in English, the other in Russian. Anna -Maria is an artist, Anastasia is a leader in a music group and a literary translator. According to Mikhail Baryshnikov "children, words and students are what remains of great poets. A book where all this together, perhaps, is the real monument to Joseph. " The publication was prepared for the 80th anniversary of the Nobel laureate.
