Saadja Gaon (882-942), or Saadja Ben Yosef, Arabic Said Ibn Yusuf Al-Fayum is one of the most famous Jewish wise men of Middle Ages, Rabbi, philologist, translator, poet and philosopher, the brightest representative of the Gaon era. Before you, his main philosophical work Book of beliefs and opinions (Chinese Al Amanat Va Litikadat) This is the first medieval Jewish philosophical essay that has come down to us. Saadja Gaon comes to complex theological issues as a rationalist, however, at the heart of his Ratio lies a non-obvious postulate for an extraneous reader - he claims, first of all, the existence of a single Creator of the Universe, the Most High, also called the God of Israel
