The book of Grandmaster Ilya Smirin “Sicilian battles” is not a debut work, it is about what is happening on the board after the reproduction of theoretical moves. The author, a recognized expert on Sicilian protection, explains his vision of the positional and, especially, the dynamic capabilities of the debut. The structure of this book is the same as the previous one - Old Indian battles. Each of the 10 chapters precedes a selection of exercises on the topic under consideration, a brief overview of the content is given on one or more examples in which the topic is revealed as clearly as possible.
