The Carlsbad International Tournament of 1929 is rightfully considered one of the strongest in the history of chess. In it, with the exception of world champion Alexander Alekhin and ex-champion Emanuel Lasker, all the strongest players of that time participated, including the world champion Vera Menchik.
A collection of selected parties of this tournament was written by the winner of the competition, an outstanding grandmaster, theorist and writer Aron Nimtsovich. This book was a logical continuation of its classic textbooks, relevant and to this day - “My system” and “My system in practice”.
The bright, memorable characteristics of the leading chess players in the world, the psychological nuances of the struggle, instructive comments - all this will find this book in this book.
The previous edition in Russian was published in 1930 and has long become a significant bibliographic rarity.
For a wide range of chess fans
