Grossmaster Saveliy Grigoryevich Tartakover (02.22.1887, Rostov-on-Don-02/04/1956, Paris)-a wonderful chess player of the first half of the 20th century, standing at the origins (and author of this term) "Hyperodermanism", which determined a new direction in the development of chess . He not only rightfully wore an unofficial title of "champion among chess journalists", but also won the largest tournaments: Paris-1929, Liezh-1930, Gastings-1926-7 and others.
The book includes 107 selected parties in Savely Tartakover, commented on by himself, the endings from his practice, which have the educational significance today, as well as the most interesting articles from periodicals of that time.
